Indomobil to Offer Leapmotor C10 Electric SUV in Indonesia
PT Indomobil National Distributor aims to bring the Leapmotor C10 electric Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) to Indonesia, targeting family consumers. “Indeed, the C10 is renowned as a family SUV that highly emphasises human tech,” said Indomobil Chief Executive Officer Tan Kim Piauw, as quoted from Antara on Monday, 27 April 2026.
Tan stated that the partnership with Stellantis is being finalised to import the product to Indonesia. The planned scheme involves complete knockdown assembly as part of adjustments to national automotive industry policies, including the domestic component level in line with government regulations.
“So, the TKDN fulfils many aspects. There is discussion on human resources, and certain spare parts that can be localised. In principle, we meet at least the initial TKDN required by the government,” Tan explained.
In terms of specifications, the Leapmotor C10 has a body length of 4,739 millimetres, providing ample cabin space for family needs. The electric SUV also uses Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified textile materials for the interior, ensuring the materials are free from harmful substances and safe for passengers, including children.
The vehicle’s structure is supported by Cell-to-Chassis (C2C) technology, which integrates the battery directly into the chassis structure. This approach is claimed to enhance body rigidity while maintaining stability and improving safety during manoeuvres.
Regarding the battery, the mid-size electric SUV from Leapmotor is powered by a rear-wheel drive (RWD) electric motor with up to 168kW capability. Technical specifications note a battery capacity of 69.9 kWh, enabling a maximum range of up to 477 kilometres on a single full charge based on the New European Driving Cycle standard.
Additionally, the Leapmotor C10 is equipped with 16 active safety features (advanced driver assistance systems) for driving safety. This positions the C10 as a pure electric SUV offering greater flexibility for carrying goods and passengers.
Tan Kim Piauw stated that the price of the Leapmotor C10 has not yet been announced. Indomobil will consider factors such as currency exchange rates and government incentive policies for electric vehicles.
