Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — Indomaret employees staged a protest at the company’s headquarters in Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK), North Jakarta, on Tuesday (26 May 2026). Citing Detik.com, employees protested the company’s policy change that replaced holiday overtime pay with compensatory leave. They threatened larger demonstrations if their demands were not met. Indomaret is a franchise brand under PT Indomarco Prismatama, a subsidiary of PT Indoritel Makmur Internasional Tbk (DNET), owned by Anthoni Salim. According to the March 2026 financial report, the company reported improved performance. Net sales for PT Indomarco Prismatama reached Rp33.15 trillion as of 31 March 2026, a 14.15% increase from the same period last year’s Rp29.04 trillion. Profit attributable to the parent company also rose 3.67% year-on-year to Rp489.01 billion. On the balance sheet, total assets stood at Rp58.48 trillion as of end-March 2026, while total liabilities reached Rp33.34 trillion. Current assets declined to Rp27.84 trillion from Rp30.55 trillion at the end of 2025, while non-current assets rose to Rp30.64 trillion from Rp29.71 trillion. Total liabilities also decreased to Rp33.34 trillion from Rp35.62 trillion at the end of 2025. DNET holds a 40% stake in Indomarco, with the subsidiary contributing Rp195.31 billion in profits to DNET, equivalent to 83.28% of DNET’s total profit as of March 2026. DNET also holds stakes in PT Nippon Indosari Corpindo Tbk (ROTI) and PT Fast Food Indonesia Tbk (FAST), though the profit contributions from these companies are minimal compared to Indomaret. Sari Roti manufacturer contributed Rp571 million to DNET’s profits, while KFC operator contributed Rp4.98 billion.
