Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jawa Bagian Barat (JBB) has confirmed that the handling of the fire incident at the Bulk LPG Filling Station (SPBE) of PT Indogas Andalan Kita, located on Jalan Cinyosog, Cimuning, Bekasi, is under control. The fire, which began raging on Wednesday (1/4) around 21:00 WIB, was successfully extinguished on Thursday (2/4) in the early hours.

The extinguishing efforts were carried out through rapid coordination between Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional JBB, the SPBE party, and the Firefighting Teams from the City and Regency of Bekasi. Support from TNI and Polri personnel was also deployed to secure the perimeter of the location to prevent further impacts on the surrounding community.

Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jawa Bagian Barat (JBB) has expressed apologies for the incident that occurred at the Bulk LPG Filling Station (SPBE) of PT Indogas Andalan Kita in Jalan Cinyosog, Cimuning, Bekasi, on Wednesday (1/4), around 21:00 WIB. Area Manager for Communications, Relations & CSR Regional JBB of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Susanto August Satria, conveyed appreciation for the synergy of all parties involved in this rapid handling.

“Currently, our focus is on follow-up actions post-incident, including ensuring the safety of the surrounding community, handling affected victims, and SPBE workers. Regarding the cause of the incident, a thorough investigation is still ongoing together with the relevant authorities,” said Satria in his official statement.

In response to public concerns regarding gas availability, Pertamina emphasises that the LPG supply in the Bekasi area and surroundings remains safe. Pertamina has activated the Regular Alternative Emergency (RAE) scheme by redirecting supply support to three nearby SPBEs.

Regarding social impacts, Pertamina has instructed the SPBE of PT Indogas Andalan Kita to provide the best handling for affected victims. Satria added that the process of tallying the number of victims is still being validated to ensure that assistance and medical handling run optimally.

Appeal: The public is urged to remain calm and not engage in panic buying. Pertamina guarantees that replacement supply points are operating normally to meet the community’s energy needs.

As of the publication of this news, the situation at the incident location is already in the cooling and securing phase by the authorities for the purpose of crime scene processing.
