IndoEBTKE ConEx 2026 Becomes Momentum for Accelerating Renewable Energy in ASEAN
Jakarta — Indonesia’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) is hosting the IndoEBTKE ConEx event to drive clean energy acceleration. The 12th IndoEBTKE ConEx 2026, scheduled for 2–4 August 2026, represents one of the Ministry’s initiatives amid evolving global energy geopolitics.
Eniya Listiani Dewi, Director General of New, Renewable, and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) at the ESDM Ministry, stated that The 12th IndoEBTKE ConEx 2026 reflects Indonesia’s commitment to accelerating clean energy transition implementation through regional collaboration, technological innovation, and strengthening green investment.
She explained that amid increasingly complex global geopolitical dynamics—ranging from fluctuating energy prices and energy supply chain uncertainties to mounting climate change pressures—the development of new renewable energy and energy conservation have become strategic priorities. The transition towards cleaner, self-sufficient, and sustainable energy systems is a critical component of long-term energy security and economic stability strategies.
In this context, Indonesia and fellow ASEAN nations have significant opportunities to leverage momentum by strengthening regional cooperation, accelerating clean energy investment, and developing more efficient and sustainable energy technologies.
The 12th IndoEBTKE ConEx 2026 is regarded as a strategic collaboration platform that transforms clean energy transition ambitions into concrete actions with regional impact. Eniya stressed that accelerating clean energy development is a fundamental foundation for realising the national long-term development vision.
“Indonesia has substantial ambitions in renewable energy development. However, what matters now is converting these ambitions into concrete action through global collaboration, green investment, and technological innovation. IndoEBTKE ConEx 2026 serves as a strategic platform to bring together stakeholders in accelerating clean energy transition implementation in Indonesia and ASEAN,” Eniya stated during The 12th IndoEBTKE ConEx 2026 launch event themed ‘Turning Ambition into Action: Accelerating Clean Energy Transition in Indonesia and ASEAN’ in central Jakarta on 13 March 2026.
She explained that as one of Southeast Asia’s largest renewable energy forums, The 12th IndoEBTKE ConEx 2026 is designed to bring together government leaders, industry practitioners, investors, academics, and development partners from various countries. The forum is expected to strengthen cross-sector synergies in accelerating the development of an innovative, inclusive, and sustainable clean energy ecosystem.
Indonesia holds a strategic position in leading energy transition acceleration in the region. With renewable energy potential encompassing solar, hydropower, bioenergy, geothermal, and wind energy, Indonesia has significant opportunities to become Southeast Asia’s clean energy development hub. Government policy support, rising green investment interest, and strengthened regional cooperation make IndoEBTKE ConEx an important momentum for accelerating sustainable energy solutions implementation in Indonesia and the region.
The 12th IndoEBTKE ConEx 2026 will also feature various strategic sessions involving speakers from international institutions, governments, global energy companies, and international financial institutions. Key topics will include renewable energy investment acceleration, clean energy technology development, regional energy system integration, and innovative financing strategies to support energy transition in developing nations.
Suroso Isnandar, Director of Project Management and Renewable Energy, noted that increased renewable energy targets in the 2025–2034 electricity supply business plan reaching 76 per cent demonstrates PLN’s support direction on energy transition. PLN is encouraging cooperation among various stakeholders, particularly policymakers, industry practitioners, and investors to jointly achieve these targets.
He hopes IndoEBTKE ConEx will serve as a strategic forum for discussion, collaboration, consensus-building among various parties, and even investment agreements to accelerate renewable energy development in Indonesia and the ASEAN region.
