Indodax has partnered with AyoBantu and Sekolah Relawan to distribute sacrificial animals to areas with limited distribution access in disaster-affected regions of Sumatra, particularly Aceh, through the ‘Indodax for Indonesia: Kurban Pelosok Negeri’ initiative. A total of 15 sacrificial animals — five cows and 10 goats — were distributed across five locations in Aceh Tamiang and Aceh Timur districts. The programme benefits at least 584 households in areas previously affected by disasters and facing limited access to aid. Aloysia Dian, Indodax’s Chief Marketing Officer, stated that the initiative is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to provide tangible social care to those in need, particularly in Aceh. ‘We hope this programme brings joy to the beneficiaries. More importantly, we want to show that our fellow citizens in disaster-affected Aceh remain an inseparable part of our community. We hope this small step continues to benefit more people in the future,’ said Aloysia in a statement on Thursday, 28 May 2026. The initiative is part of the company’s ongoing efforts, which have previously distributed social aid to disaster-affected regions across Indonesia. Alongside fostering the spirit of sharing during Eid al-Adha, the programme aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Zero Hunger, aiming to eradicate hunger and ensure food security for those in need. Distribution locations include Alur Tani 1 and Rongoh in Tamiang Hulu sub-district, Blang Kandis in Bandar Pusaka sub-district of Aceh Tamiang, as well as Alue Rincong in Pante Bidari sub-district and Batu Sumbang in Simpang Jernih sub-district of Aceh Timur. ‘For us, Eid al-Adha is not just about distributing sacrificial animals, but also about fostering togetherness and compassion. We hope this programme helps those in need while strengthening community spirit and social solidarity,’ Aloysia added.
