Indodax CEO and co-founder William Sutanto has provided an update on the cyberattack attempts detected on the crypto-asset trading platform.

William said all findings from the investigation had been addressed, and no unauthorised transactions or customer data leaks had been identified.

In his latest post on X, formerly Twitter, William said the Indodax team had completed repairs related to all the findings from its earlier examination. The results also confirmed that customer funds and data remained safe.

“All the findings from yesterday have been addressed. The examination also confirmed that there were no unauthorised transfers or customer data leaks. Customer funds and data remain safe,” William wrote on Friday (30 October 2026).

He said Indodax had also added extra layers of protection as a precaution to strengthen the platform’s security.

William apologised that deposit and withdrawal services had remained under maintenance for more than 24 hours. Indodax needed to complete several security measures and additional checks before reopening the services, he said.

“I apologise that maintenance of deposits and withdrawals has lasted more than 24 hours. There are several additional security measures and checks that we need to complete before the services can reopen,” he said.

On Thursday (29 October 2026), William announced that Indodax had temporarily suspended deposits and withdrawals after detecting an increase in cyberattack attempts.

At the time, he said the Indodax team was conducting an evaluation and taking mitigation measures to ensure the platform’s security before reopening the services.

He also stressed that the temporary suspension was a security measure. Indodax said it had found no unauthorised withdrawals or customer data leaks.

“We will reopen deposits and withdrawals once we are sure it is safe,” William wrote in his earlier statement.
