The recent movement of Bitcoin is not driven by a single factor alone. Institutional investor interest has strengthened, and sentiment towards digital assets has also improved.

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The price of Bitcoin (BTC) briefly reached 87,200 US dollars (USD) during early trading this week, reflecting an increasingly optimistic crypto market over the past few months.

Indodax Chief Marketing Officer Aloysia Dian noted that this Bitcoin surge is driven by several simultaneous factors, ranging from the influx of institutional funds and improved market sentiment to developments in digital asset regulations in the US.

Data from CoinMarketCap shows that Bitcoin successfully broke through the 87,200 USD mark before moving back into the 85,000-86,000 USD range on Tuesday (22/9).

“The movement of Bitcoin this time is not driven by just one factor. Institutional investor interest is strengthening again, and sentiment towards digital assets is also improving,” she stated in a briefing in Jakarta on Wednesday.

From a macro perspective, she noted that improving risk appetite in global markets has also provided a positive boost. A decrease in oil prices has the potential to ease inflationary pressures, which in turn strengthens positive sentiment towards risk assets, such as Bitcoin.

Nevertheless, Aloysion added that investors are urged to remain vigilant and anticipate global economic dynamics and interest rate policies that could influence future market directions.

She reminded that the momentum of Bitcoin’s strengthening could serve as an opportunity for investors to better understand market dynamics, rather than merely following price movements.

“When Bitcoin prices move positively, investors should not only look at the momentum but also understand the context behind such movements. Continue to conduct your own research and do not make decisions solely because prices are rising or due to Fear of Missing Out (FOMO),” she added.

Furthermore, investors and traders were also reminded not to make decisions based solely on short-term price momentum.

Sharp increases can go hand-in-hand with high volatility; therefore, investors still need to understand risk management, manage positions with discipline, and perform ‘Do Your Own Research’ (DYOR) before transacting.
