Assistance for communities affected by disasters in Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara, has reached thousands of beneficiaries through healthcare services, food, hygiene, and psychosocial support. The aid is being distributed gradually in accordance with the community’s needs during the recovery process.

The programme, titled “Indodax for Indonesia: Indodax Disaster Emergency Post,” has been implemented by Indodax alongside Ayobantu since September 2026. One of the programme’s implementation sites is located in Waso Hamlet, Satar Kampas Village, Manggarai.

Indodax Chief Marketing Officer, Aloysia Dian, stated that the assistance is tailored to the conditions and needs of the community on the ground. The programme focuses on four key areas: psychosocial services, personal hygiene kits, community kitchens, and healthcare services.

“For us, social support is not just about distributing aid, but also about understanding what the community needs most. Therefore, this programme covers basic needs ranging from food and health to hygiene and psychosocial support,” she said on Friday (2/10/2026).

Healthcare services have reached approximately 600 people, while personal hygiene kits have been distributed to 200 heads of households, or about 1,000 individuals. Psychosocial support and nutritional packages were provided to 100 beneficiaries, and the community kitchens have served around 1,400 people.

Two emergency tent units have also been provided, with a capacity for up to 212 households. These facilities complement the aid provided to meet the community’s needs during the recovery period.

Aloysia noted that the collaboration with Ayobantu was established to ensure that the distribution of aid aligns with the needs of the beneficiaries. The assistance aims not only to address immediate emergency needs but also to support the community through the recovery process.

“We hope this collaboration can help alleviate the community’s needs while providing space for the gradual recovery process. We hope the support provided can offer real benefits to those in need,” she added.
