Indocement, unions ink pacts

JAKARTA (JP): Publicly listed cement producer PT Indocement Tunggal Prakasa amended yesterday its work condition agreements with its All-Indonesia Workers Union Federation internal unit.

Company president Sudwikatmono said the revision was needed to meet changing living standards and workers' mobility.

"The new agreements equally consider a wife and a husband as the head of a family. The agreements also rule for minimum living needs and not just minimum physical needs," he said.

The federation proposed changing 56 points in the work agreements, he said, adding that management only rejected three of them. (icn)
