Indo Water 2026 Expo & Forum Gathers Global Technology Innovations
PT Napindo Media Ashatama (Napindo) is holding the Indo Water 2026 Expo & Forum, held concurrently with Indo Waste & Recycling, Indo Renergy & Electric, Indo Security, Indo Firex, and the Indonesia International Smart City 2026 Expo & Forum at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, Jakarta. This cross-sector exhibition brings together government, industry players, academics, associations, and international partners on one platform to present solutions in the water and wastewater, waste management and recycling, renewable energy and electricity, security, fire protection, and smart city sectors.
The 20,000 square metre exhibition area is fully occupied by more than 700 exhibitors from 23 countries, reflecting high enthusiasm from local and international industry players.
The series of events began with an Opening Ceremony officially opened by the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono. In his remarks, Agus stressed that sustainable infrastructure development requires the support of innovation, investment, and synergy between the government, businesses, academics, and international partners.
“I am pleased to be able to attend this strategic event in person, in the context of the issue of water security to present a more prosperous and sustainable Indonesia. Water security is not just a vision, but a reality that we must enjoy as an increasingly advanced and prosperous nation. The government cannot do it alone; collaboration is needed between the central government, regional governments, together with academics and the business industry. Let us build synergy and collaboration, without which it will be difficult to achieve great goals,” said Agus.
Beyond being a technology exhibition, the presence of Indo Water, Indo Waste & Recycling, Indo Renergy & Electric, Indo Security, Indo Firex, and the Indonesia International Smart City 2026 Expo & Forum is considered a strategic space to address various development challenges. One of these is water security, which is now a crucial part of the national development agenda.
Agus conveyed that water self-sufficiency or water security is not merely a side issue in Indonesia, but the government has placed water security as a top priority. President Prabowo Subianto places food, energy, and water on the same level of importance. The presence of expos and forums like this can provide a space for collaboration and cooperation between the government and industry.
“Through this forum, we can build good things, providing space for collaboration, space for cooperation between the business world, the industrial world, the technology world and the government, of course the Indonesian government, in this case the central government, regional governments can build good spaces for cooperation. When we have problems or challenges, we can come here to find solutions with the various technologies available here. We can conduct joint research, joint production, even though some cannot be implemented directly, we can start by conducting joint research and ultimately we want to show our domestic technological independence,” Agus explained.
On the same occasion, Managing Director of PT Napindo Media Ashatama, Arya Seta Wiriadipoera, stated that this year’s Indo Water event is a historic moment marking Napindo’s consistency in presenting innovation, technology, and cross-sector collaboration to support sustainable development in Indonesia.
“For 25 years, Indo Water has been a pioneer of international water and wastewater industry exhibitions in Indonesia. However, this journey is not just about what we have achieved, but about the collaboration, innovation, and opportunities we can create together. Through the organisation of Indo Water concurrently with Indo Waste & Recycling, Indo Renergy & Electric, Indo Security, Indo Firex, and Indonesia International Smart City, we aim to present an integrated platform that brings together various stakeholders to share knowledge, expand networks, and open up business and investment opportunities in various strategic sectors,” said Arya.
Marking the 25th anniversary of the event, Napindo held a Silver Reception to appreciate exhibitors, ministries, agencies, associations, international agents, and strategic partners who have contributed to Indo Water’s journey as a pioneer international exhibition for the water and wastewater industry in Indonesia.
On this occasion, awards were presented to recipients in the Loyal Exhibitor, Loyal Supporting Government, Loyal Supporting Association, and Loyal Supporting Agent categories, reflecting Napindo’s appreciation for partners who have contributed and grown together with Indo Water, making it one of the leading reference events in Southeast Asia.
Napindo’s efforts to continue expanding the scope of the exhibition were also realised through the launch of the new identity for Indo Firex, Rescue & Disaster Expo & Forum, reflecting the industry’s growing need for more comprehensive solutions. This transformation broadens the scope of the event into a platform that also presents solutions in the fields of fire protection, search and rescue (SAR), disaster management, and occupational safety and health (K3).
The launch of the new identity was held at the Spotlight Zone as one of the main agendas on the first day of the event.
