Indo-Rama's profit doubles

JAKARTA (JP): PT Indo-Rama Synthetics, a publicly-listed
textile company, reported a 108 percent increase in its net
profit during the first semester of this year to Rp 62.5 billion
(US$27.9 million) from the same period of last year.

The company said in a statement Tuesday that the high profit
increase was attributed to the commissioning of its new
polyethylene resin plant and the improved prices of its polyester
products.

Indo-Rama was ranked as the third best-managed company in
Indonesia by Asia Money in its July-August issue.(rid)
