Indikator Denies Releasing July 2026 Electability Survey
Polling agency Indikator Politik Indonesia has stated it never released survey results in July 2026. Indikator said the document bearing the agency’s name that has spread on social media is not an official publication.
Indikator Politik Indonesia Director Fauny Hidayat said he has received various questions about the survey results document, which includes electability figures and approval ratings. He stressed that Indikator did not release it.
“Indikator Politik Indonesia never released or published the results of a national survey conducted in July 2026,” Fauny said when contacted by Tempo on Thursday, 30 July 2026.
“INDIKATOR’s official survey data and findings are always published through the official website or portal www.indikator.co.id and Indikator Politik Indonesia’s social media networks,” Fauny said.
Despite asserting that the July 2026 survey results were never released, Fauny’s clarification did not include an explanation of whether Indikator conducted the survey.
The document in question is titled “Laporan Survei Nasional Kondisi Ekonomi, Sosial, Politik, dan Pemerintahan” (National Survey Report on Economic, Social, Political, and Government Conditions) and carries Indikator Politik Indonesia’s name. The survey was dated 14-24 July 2026.
It contains 240 pages of various survey results, ranging from assessments of President Prabowo Subianto’s administration to the electability landscape ahead of the 2029 Presidential Election.
Additionally, the document features several names with potential to enter the nomination race. West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi is said to have higher electability than Prabowo.
The report also discusses various other topics, including the impact of the Middle East conflict on the Indonesian economy, an evaluation of the free nutritious meal programme (MBG) and the Red and White Village Cooperatives (KDMP), as well as the potential political implications of former president Joko Widodo joining a political party.
