The murder case of a Government Employee with a Work Agreement (PPPK) with the initials NHW in Bekasi, West Java, has entered a new phase. The murder allegedly began with an offer of sexual services, often referred to as ‘open BO’, via MiChat.

According to the Bekasi District Court’s Case Tracking System (SIPP) on Wednesday (1/7/2026), the defendants in this case are Ari and Aris Aparatuloh. The first evidentiary hearing was scheduled for today.

In the indictment, prosecutors stated the case began in January 2026. They said defendant Ari, using the MiChat account name Rendi Andrian, became acquainted with a MiChat account named Sandi, which later turned out to be the victim NHW.

‘During the introduction, the victim offered Rp 50,000 and defendant I Ari asked what he had to do,’ the prosecutor said. The victim allegedly asked Ari to perform sexual acts and promised Rp 50,000. The prosecutor said Ari, who needed money, agreed to the offer.

‘After that, the victim arranged a meeting and asked defendant I Ari to send his location via MiChat, then defendant I met the victim,’ the prosecutor said. ‘Upon arriving at the victim’s rented room, they went straight inside. Once inside, defendant I Ari asked, “What should I do, bro?” and the victim replied, “Sit there and take off your trousers.”’

After the sexual activity was completed, the victim allegedly gave Ari the promised Rp 50,000. On 28 January 2026, the victim contacted Ari again, asking him to bring a friend and promising Rp 200,000 for both of them. The offer increased on 30 January 2026 to Rp 200,000 plus cigarettes and drinks. Defendant Ari allegedly accepted the offer.

‘After that, because he had no money and was in debt, defendant I Ari agreed to the invitation while planning to take the victim’s valuables,’ the prosecutor said. Ari then contacted defendant II, Aris, and asked him to go to a tofu factory. The prosecutor said Ari told Aris to keep quiet and wait for instructions.

‘Defendant I Ari said, “Wait a moment, someone is coming.” After that, defendant I Ari said, “Just keep quiet, I’m going to finish him off. You stand guard and follow my instructions,” and defendant II Aris replied, “Yes,”’ the prosecutor stated.

The victim then arrived on a Vario motorcycle at around 11.30 p.m. Western Indonesian Time. The three of them then continued the journey together on one motorcycle to the victim’s rented room.

In short, Ari entered the victim’s rented room while Aris stayed on the terrace. The victim allegedly asked Ari to take off his trousers. After 15 minutes of sexual activity, Ari allegedly strangled the victim. The victim reportedly fought back by trying to punch Ari. The prosecutor said Ari then wrapped his hoodie string around the victim’s neck while pinning him down until the victim stopped moving. Ari then called Aris into the room and asked him to help lift the victim.

‘Defendant II Aris said, “What’s wrong?” and defendant I Ari replied, “He’s passed out. Don’t talk too much, help me lift him.” Then defendant I held the victim’s hands while defendant II held the victim’s feet and they lifted the motionless body onto the mattress,’ the prosecutor said.

Ari then took the victim’s two mobile phones and fled with the victim’s motorcycle. Ari also discarded the key to the victim’s rented room. The stolen motorcycle was later sold by Ari for Rp 4.5 million. Ari then fled and was arrested in Sukabumi on 6 February 2026, while Aris was arrested in Cianjur. Based on the post-mortem examination, victim NHW died from blunt force trauma to the neck, which fractured the hyoid bone, cricoid cartilage, and thyroid cartilage, blocking the airway and resulting in death by asphyxiation.

‘The actions of the defendants caused the death of victim NHW,’ the prosecutor said.
