Indianwoman found dead

JAKARTA (JP): A young Indonesian woman of Indian descent was
found dead in her room in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, yesterday.
Police suspect suicide.

The Kemayoran police precinct reported that Kiren, 23,
unemployed, was found dead by her family yesterday morning.

Police also found a can of insecticide and a glass near the
body.

The motive for the act is unknown, but police suspect it was
related to a family conflict.

One of Kiren's relatives said the family found the body at
around six in the morning.

"We called her as her parents were leaving for Medan today.
However, she did not answer and we found the door was locked. So
we tried to see her from the window and found that she had was
already dead," she said.

Kiren was staying here with her brother while her parents
lived in Medan, the relative said. Her parents were visiting
Jakarta at the time of Kiren's death.

"She did not show any unusual signs before she died. We do not
know if she was having any problems," the relative said.

Kiren's body was taken to the Cipto Mangunkusumo hospital for
