Indian PM Modi Praises Prabowo: 'He Is Extremely Generous'

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has heaped praise on Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto for the reception and organisation of his state visit to Indonesia. Speaking before guests at the Prambanan Temple complex in Yogyakarta on Wednesday, 8 July 2026, PM Modi said President Prabowo’s attention to every detail of the visit’s agenda left him ‘speechless’. The statement was delivered towards the end of Modi’s three-day tour of Indonesia. He noted that from his arrival until his imminent departure, every series of activities had been meticulously prepared by President Prabowo. ‘I have just landed, and now I will be departing shortly. President Prabowo has been extremely generous with his time. He spent so much time with me. And every aspect of my visit, every element of my programme has been planned so well,’ said PM Modi. He said it was not only the agenda planning that left a deep impression, but also President Prabowo’s attention to every detail of its execution. ‘The attention to detail that President Prabowo gave to every element of my programme and its outstanding execution leaves me speechless,’ he stated.
