Indian man with drugs arrested

TANGERANG: Customs and excise officers at Soekarno-Hatta
International Airport arrested an Indian man last Saturday for
possession of 60 Alpraslom pills.

According to an officer, the 34-year-old Indian, Kulwinder
Singh Padda, arrived at Terminal II F at about 11.15 last
Saturday on board Malaysian Airways flight 711 from Kuala Lumpur.

"Our suspicions were aroused when the man appeared nervous
upon entering the checkpoint at the airport," an officer, who
asked not to be named, told The Jakarta Post on Monday.

He said officers became more suspicious when the monitor on
the X-ray machine showed strange objects in his bag.

He added that after a narchotest result later confirmed the
pills were included in a list of psychotropic substances, the
suspect was then detained by airport police for further
questioning. --JP
