Indian arrested for carrying drug

JAKARTA: Gurdib Sigh, a 37-year-old Indian national, was
caught red-handed carrying 300 grams of heroin while he was about
to board a plane at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport to
Surabaya on Wednesday.

"He was arrested because police officers were suspicious of
his behavior at the airport. When he was searched, the police
found heroin on him," Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr.
Tjiptono.

During the examination, Sigh said that he received the heroin
from Al, a Pakistani who has been staying in Jakarta for a long
time.

"The heroin was to be taken to Malang, East Java, to someone
known by his initial as T," Tjiptono said. -- JP
