Independent entrepreneur boosts popularity of Chinese motorcycles onto the world stage
Chongqing (ANTARA) - ZXMOTO, a relatively unknown Chinese brand founded in 2024 by Zhang Xue in Chongqing, secured a resounding victory in the World Supersport (WorldSSP) category at the Portuguese round of the Superbike World Championship (WSBK) in March. This win shocked the industry and quickly went viral on Chinese social media. With this victory, Zhang’s personal journey from a workshop intern to owner of a business worth 750 million yuan (approximately 108.8 million USD) has become an inspiration for millions of Chinese people striving to realise their dreams. Moreover, the legendary growth of Zhang’s business parallels the resurgence of Chinese-made products in the global value chain. This demonstrates the increasingly robust strength of the country’s manufacturing sector, as well as the significant progress achieved by Chinese-made motorcycles.
