Indecent video of high school couple in Karangasem goes viral, allegedly spread by ex-boyfriend

An indecent video, lasting 23 seconds, allegedly involving a couple of high school students in Abang District, Karangasem Regency, Bali, has widely circulated on social media. The police are currently conducting an investigation.

In the circulating video, the female teenager appears to be wearing a school uniform. The name of the school was also briefly visible in the recording. However, the location and time of the video’s creation are not yet known.

Abang Police Chief, AKP I Komang Gede Susiawan, confirmed that the female student in the viral video is from his jurisdiction. However, the male actor is suspected to be from another district.

“We have not yet been able to obtain information from the girl because she is still in shock. We understand this from a psychological perspective and do not want to force her,” said Susiawan on Tuesday (24/2/2026).

Susiawan does not yet know the identities of the couple in the video. This is because the family has not yet been willing to report the incident. Nevertheless, Susiawan will continue the investigation to determine the motive and identify who first spread the video.

Based on circulating information, the video is allegedly being spread by the victim’s ex-boyfriend through the victim’s social media account because he was hurt by the breakup. However, this information is still being investigated.
