The increasing complexity of water management requirements is driving the development of piping products capable of providing more accurate measurements and supporting water use efficiency. This situation is a primary focus for PT Onda Mega Integra, through its Onda brand, during its participation in Water Indonesia 2026 at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, Jakarta, from 9–12 September 2026.

Assistant Marketing Manager of PT Onda Mega Integra, Christ Athalia, stated that changing field requirements necessitate product development that aligns with the characteristics of water usage and piping systems. Through this exhibition, Onda is introducing its piping equipment portfolio alongside several product developments aimed at meeting user needs.

“The evolving needs for water require us to re-examine how products are used in the field. We want every product development to have a clear function and to address user needs, particularly regarding measurement accuracy and system implementation,” said Christ, as quoted from a press release received on Saturday (12/9).

During the exhibition, Onda is showcasing various products related to piping systems and water management. The displayed products include pipe joints, valves, water meters, and supporting piping accessories. The product arrangement is based on usage and application, allowing visitors to see the functional role of products within a system more comprehensively.

One product that is part of Onda’s portfolio expansion is the Water Meter R160. This water meter has a nominal diameter of half an inch with a nominal pressure of up to 16 bar. The product is designed to assist in accurately measuring water consumption in households and small buildings.

The Water Meter R160 features a minimum reading of 0.0001 cubic metres per hour and a recording capacity of up to 99,999.9999 cubic metres. The product also has a starting flow of 0.004 cubic metres per hour, making it suitable for monitoring water usage at low flow levels.

Christ explained that measurement capability is a vital component of water management, as usage data helps users understand consumption patterns. More accurate measurement can also support system monitoring and assist in identifying indications of leaks in water usage.

“Water meters are a crucial part of management because users require accurate usage data. Through the R160, we want to provide a device that helps monitor water usage in a more measurable way while supporting field system management,” he added.

According to Onda, developments in residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors are also influencing the demand for piping products. Users are increasingly considering quality, durability, reliability, and the suitability of products for their specific system requirements.

“Moving forward, we want to continue developing products based on actual needs emerging in the field. Water management requires increasingly measurable and reliable systems; therefore, our product innovation must be able to provide real benefits for both daily use and broader system requirements,” Christ concluded.
