Increasingly busy, Cirebon's North Coast route traversed by 114,000 vehicles on Tuesday
The North Coast (Pantura) route in Cirebon City, West Java, was traversed by 114,431 vehicles heading towards Jakarta during the Eid al-Fitr return flow up to Tuesday (24/3) at 2:30 PM WIB. The Head of Traffic Division at the Cirebon City Transportation Agency, Indra Setiaman, in Cirebon on Tuesday, stated that the number of vehicles is an accumulation from those passing since Monday (23/3). “In total, there were 114,431 vehicles passing towards Jakarta up to Tuesday at 2:30 PM WIB,” he said. He explained that on Monday (23/3), 63,024 vehicles were recorded passing through the Cirebon Pantura route, dominated by 51,143 motorcycles. “Today up to 2:30 PM WIB, around 51,407 vehicles passed, dominated by 45,109 motorcycles,” he stated. He mentioned that the current vehicle volume averages about 2,142 units per hour. His side continues to monitor traffic developments on the Cirebon Pantura route during the Eid return period. “Cirebon is also a tourist destination, including marine tourism in Kejawanan, palace areas, and religious tourism,” he said. He conveyed that combined officers are placed at several points to carry out security and traffic management to prevent vehicle congestion. “Security is also supported by youth organisations and the local community so that visitors can travel safely,” he added.
