Inco gets new president
JAKARTA (JP): PT Intercontinental Nickel Indonesia (Inco) announced yesterday that Rumengan Sumu will replace James D. Guiry on Sept. 1 as its new president and chief executive officer.
The company said in a statement here that M.V. Wyshynski, in turn, will replace Sumu as senior vice president and chief operating officer, based at the company's nickel mining site in Soroako, southern Sulawesi.
The company also announced the appointment of B.R. Tobing as vice president for production and A.C. Daenuwy as vice president for technical services.
Inco, a subsidiary of Inco Limited of Canada, is listed on the Jakarta and Surabaya stock exchanges.
Inco reported a recent surge in its net profit for the first six months of 1995 to $39 million from $16.1 million in the corresponding period of 1994.(riz)
