Including South Jakarta Acting Mayor, Reasons for Pramono's Rotation of 11 DKI Provincial Officials

Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, has revealed the reasons behind the rotation of 11 officials within the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. He stated that the step was taken for organisational rejuvenation to improve the performance of the apparatus.

“The main reason is for rejuvenation, so that the work becomes better,” said Pramono at Jakarta City Hall on Thursday (16/4/2026).

Pramono also emphasised the importance of openness among public officials, especially to the media. He wants officials in the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to be more responsive and easy to contact.

“The main thing is to make them easy to reach. I ask this department head to be open to the media,” he said.

“Job rotation is a normal thing in bureaucracy as part of evaluation and rejuvenation,” he continued.

He also stated that communication is one of the important aspects considered in official placements. Department heads, according to Pramono, must be ready to coordinate and respond to various needs, including public information.

Previously, Pramono inaugurated 11 primary high-ranking officials in the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. One of those inaugurated was Syafrin Liputo as the Acting Mayor of South Jakarta Administrative City.

The inauguration was held at Jakarta City Hall on Wednesday (15/4) in the Great Hall in a closed session. Pramono stated that the filling of these positions has gone through mechanisms in accordance with regulations, including recommendations from the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) and approval from the DKI DPRD for certain positions.

“This determination uses talent management which is the authority of the governor. The three of us, together with the deputy governor and the secretary general, discussed to determine these names,” said Pramono.

He explained that the process of filling positions took about two to three weeks. Official placements were carried out gradually to avoid vacancies.

“With this inauguration, there are no more acting heads. All positions are now filled definitively,” he said.

• Syafrin Liputo as Acting Mayor of South Jakarta Administrative City

• Budi Awaluddin as Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Transportation Agency

• Marulina Dewi Mutiara as Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Communication, Informatics, and Statistics Agency

• Dudi Gardesi Asikin as Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Environmental Agency

• Marulitua as Acting Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Disaster Mitigation Agency

• Tona Hutauruk as Head of the Regional Cooperation Bureau of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Regional Secretariat

• Purwanti Suryandari as Deputy Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Environmental Agency

• Asep Kuswanto as Assistant Deputy Governor of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government for spatial planning

• Ali Murtadho as Deputy Acting Mayor of West Jakarta Administrative City

• Firmanuddin as Deputy Acting Mayor of South Jakarta Administrative City

• Imron as Secretary of West Jakarta Administrative City
