Inaugurates New Office, Cak Imin Praises PKB's Rising Support in Jakarta
Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar, chairman of the PKB’s Central Executive Board (DPP PKB), formally inaugurated the PKB DKI Jakarta Regional Leadership Council’s (DPW PKB DKI Jakarta) new office, located at Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan No. 1, East Jakarta, on Sunday evening, 8 March.
In his remarks, the man known as Cak Imin said the new DPW office is in a highly strategic location. He hoped the facility would boost productivity and strengthen the party’s consolidation in the heart of the capital.
“Only now is the DPW office in a strategic location. It’s a bit congested there, which is what I call strategic,” Muhaimin said at the inauguration.
During the occasion, Cak Imin also touched on the theme adopted by the PKB DKI Jakarta DPW, namely “PKB Future Jakarta” (PKB Masa Depan Jakarta). He said the theme reflects optimism that his party can play a larger role in addressing various problems in the capital.
He noted that PKB DKI Jakarta’s achievement of winning 10 seats in the Provincial DPRD in the last general election is an important milestone that must be maintained. “In the past, PKB in Jakarta was often underestimated. But now it has proven it can win 10 seats in the provincial DPRD and two seats in the DPR RI. This is not an easy achievement,” he said.
Cak Imin also praised the leadership of Hasbiallah Ilyas, the head of DPW PKB DKI Jakarta, whom he believes has increased the party’s seat tally in the capital. He said the success shows that cadres who were previously not highly regarded are able to deliver tangible results.
Cak Imin urged all cadres, especially the lawmakers in Kebon Sirih, to continue working hard to safeguard the mandate and public trust. He emphasised that PKB must be present as a real solution for city residents.
“We want Jakarta to be better. No more residents stranded at stations for hours because there is no transport,” Muhaimin added.
The inauguration of the office is expected to be a turning point for strengthening PKB DKI Jakarta’s internal consolidation in facing various political agendas and improving the quality of public service in the future.
