Inaugurated by Prabowo, Jakarta LRT Phase 1B Represents Nindya Karya's Contribution to Capital Connectivity

President Prabowo officially inaugurated the Jakarta LRT Phase 1B, covering the Velodrome–Manggarai route, on Wednesday, 16 September 2026. This new transport mode is set to further connect residents along its route to Jakarta’s city centre.

During the inauguration, President Prabowo expressed his appreciation to all parties involved in the development of the Jakarta LRT. He also emphasised the importance of an integrated public transport system in supporting public mobility and economic activities.

“I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to every party involved in completing this project,” said Prabende Prabowo during the ceremony, as reported on Saturday, 19 September 2026.

The project, carried out by the Waskita–Nindya KSO consortium, serves as a vital component in the development of integrated public transport within the capital. Through this project, PT Nindya Karya (Persero) supports the government’s strategic steps to reduce travel time between regions and alleviate traffic congestion.

As the executing contractor, Nindya Karya, alongside Waskita Karya through the Waskita–Nindya KSO, played a key role in the construction of the Phase 1B corridor, ensuring quality, safety, and timely execution of the works.

The President Director of PT Nindya Karya (Persero), Firmansyah, stated that the completion of the Jakarta LRT Phase 1B is part of Nindya Karya’s contribution to providing infrastructure that meets public needs.
