President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, alongside the General Chairman of PAN, Zulkifli Hasan, officially inaugurated the National PANsar Murah Movement during the 28th Anniversary Peak Night of the National Mandate Party (PAN) on Friday night, 18 September 2026. Through this movement, citizens can purchase basic necessities such as rice, cooking oil, eggs, and sugar at prices 50 to 60 per cent lower than market rates.

The Chairperson of the PAN Faction in the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), Putri Zulkertifli Hasan, stated that this price difference provides families with the financial breathing room to meet other essential needs. “Basic staples such as rice, cooking oil, eggs, and sugar are provided at 50 to 60 per cent below market prices. The money saved from these grocery purchases can be used by families for other requirements, such as school fees, commuting costs, or healthcare,” said the PAN Faction Chairperson on Saturday, 19 September 2026.

PANsar Murah has been operational since August through all Regional Leadership Councils (DPW) and Local Leadership Councils (DPD) of PAN across Indonesia, and will continue following its inauguration as a national movement. The price difference is subsidised by PAN, with distribution managed via a coupon and registration system to ensure the programme reaches its target audience accurately, extending to regency and municipal levels rather than just major cities.

The inauguration took place as the prices of several basic commodities have been rising due to extreme drought conditions and geopolitical volatility. This increase is most acutely felt by daily labourers, small traders, and workers.

Putri Zulkifli Hasan noted that PAN’s 28th anniversary serves as a momentum for action rather than mere celebration. “After 28 years of journey, for PAN, this is a moment of gratitude, not just celebrating the party’s age. We manifest that gratitude by continuing to work and being present among the people, because for PAN, the best way to celebrate this long journey is through real work, not just ceremony,” she said.

In addition to PANsar Murah, PAN operates ‘Lapor PAN’, a public grievance channel accessible via Instagram @lapor.pan, a WhatsApp call centre, and the official Lapor PAN website. All incoming reports are followed up, with funding sourced from salary deductions of PAN Faction members of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI).

“Members of the public facing issues such as rice shortages, difficulty paying school fees, or others, can report them to PAN through the Lapor PAN programme. This is our way of fulfilling our mandate to assist the people, with costs funded by the salary deductions of PAN Faction members of the DPR RI,” concluded Putri Zulhas.
