Inaugurate Semarang Branch Office to Accelerate Retail Transformation and Strengthen Central Java's Business Ecosystem
KB Bank (Bank KB Indonesia Tbk) has officially reopened its Semarang Branch as part of KB Bank’s retail transformation journey to expand its retail network in Central Java. The transformation is manifested not only through branch revitalisation but also by strengthening the Semarang Branch as a financial solutions hub that supports the needs of priority customers, business owners, and the broader business ecosystem in Semarang and surrounding areas.
The Semarang Branch’s presence forms part of a healthy and sustainable growth strategy for KB Bank through higher-quality business development, in line with a focus on affluent and priority banking services, wealth management, payroll ecosystem, transaction banking, and ecosystem banking. As part of the transformation, KB Bank has introduced a Priority Banking Center at the Semarang Branch to enhance services and engagement with affluent and priority customers in Central Java.
Kunardy Darma Lie, Chief Executive Officer of KB Bank, in his remarks said that the Semarang transformation is part of KB Bank’s strategic move to strengthen the retail business and broaden engagement with the business community in Central Java. “The reopening of the Semarang Branch confirms our commitment to strengthening our presence and the quality of our services in Central Java. He added that the presence of the Priority Banking Center at the Semarang Branch is part of KB Bank’s strategy to fortify affluent and priority banking services across potential regions in Indonesia. In the future, KB Bank will continue to expand the Priority Banking Centre network in several other cities as part of the Company’s retail transformation and enhancement of relationship banking.
The reopening of the Semarang Branch was also attended by Mohamad Noor Nugroho, Head Representative of Bank Indonesia in Central Java; Bayu Koerniawan, Deputy Director for Financial Institutions 1 at the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Central Java; executives of KB Bank, as well as customers and business partners in the Semarang area and surrounding regions.
Following the ceremony, the event continued with a customer gathering as a forum to strengthen relationships and collaboration with KB Bank customers and business partners.
