Inalum Records Net Profit of Rp2.43 Trillion in 2025
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium (Inalum) recorded a net profit of US$142.8 million or approximately Rp2.43 trillion in 2025, up 15% from the previous year’s US$123.7 million or Rp2.1 trillion. “For net income, alhamdulillah, compared to 2023 when our net income was only US$57 million, it rose to US$123.7 million in 2024, and then increased 15% to US$142 million in 2025,” said Inalum’s President Director Melati Sarnita during a Hearing with Commission VI of the House of Representatives in Jakarta on Tuesday. She stated that this increase was primarily influenced by excellent production and sales performance, optimisation and efficiency in business processes, as well as support from higher selling prices. On the production side, Melati conveyed that Inalum recorded an increase. In 2023, aluminium production was at 215,130 tonnes, then jumped to 274,230 tonnes in 2024, a 27% rise, and further increased to 280,082 tonnes in 2025, or 2% above installed capacity. Sales also showed a positive trend, from 220,126 tonnes in 2023 to 276,381 tonnes in 2024, a 26% increase, then reaching 280,141 tonnes in 2025 with a 1% rise. The product composition in 2025 was still dominated by G1 aluminium ingot at 213,004 tonnes, followed by billet 16,044 tonnes, alloy 18,581 tonnes, molten 6,075 tonnes, S1B ingot 23,664 tonnes, and S2 ingot 2,830 tonnes. She added that consolidated financial performance also showed a positive trend. Company revenue rose from US$544.8 million in 2023 to US$716.9 million in 2024, and increased 10% to US$785.7 million in 2025. EBITDA or Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortisation jumped 121% from 2023 to 2024, then rose another 60% in 2025 to US$208.7 million. Furthermore, Melati stated that financial ratios showed improvement, with return on assets rising from 5% in 2024 to 6% in 2025, and return on equity from 6.2% in 2024 to 7% in 2025. On the other hand, Melati noted that the company’s total costs also increased 7% to US$616.1 million compared to US$575.4 million in 2024. Furthermore, Melati conveyed that Inalum’s contribution to the state also increased, with corporate income tax payments reaching Rp874 billion and central and regional tax contributions of Rp56 billion. “For regional taxes and levies alone, it reached Rp165 billion. Meanwhile, non-tax state revenue in the form of dividends to MIND ID was recorded at Rp21 billion in 2024 and Rp19 billion in 2025,” she said.
