PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium (INALUM) has recorded its best financial and operational performance in more than five decades of the company’s history. The achievement was announced during the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPST) for the 2025 Fiscal Year held at the INALUM Office, Energi Building, SCBD, Jakarta. During the meeting, shareholders approved and ratified the Consolidated Financial Statements for the 2025 Fiscal Year, which received an unqualified opinion in all material respects. The company also obtained full release and discharge of responsibilities for the Board of Directors and Board of Commissioners for their management and supervision during the 2025 fiscal year. INALUM Corporate Secretary Mahyaruddin A.R. stated that the achievement was the result of operational transformation and efficiency improvements consistently implemented by the company. ‘The 2025 Fiscal Year achievement is the result of consistent operational transformation, increased efficiency, and the collaboration of all INALUM personnel with the support of the MIND ID Group. This best performance in the company’s history is proof that the strategy of strengthening competitiveness and downstreaming we have implemented has yielded tangible results,’ he said, quoted from a written statement received on Monday (22/6). Throughout 2025, INALUM recorded revenue growth of 10% compared to the previous year. The increase was supported by higher sales volume and improved aluminium commodity selling prices. At the same time, consolidated net profit grew 15% year-on-year, while EBITDA increased by 17%. On the operational side, the company recorded aluminium production of 280,082 metric tonnes, an increase of approximately 2% compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, sales volume reached 280,141 metric tonnes, growing approximately 1% year-on-year. Both achievements represent the highest records in the company’s history. The improvement in operational performance was supported by the completion of the Pot Upgrading Project, which increased installed production capacity to approximately 274,000 tonnes per year. The project was carried out by upgrading reduction cell technology to a 235 kA current on 170 cells in Potline 2. In addition to recording business growth, INALUM also maintained its corporate health level in the ‘AA’ category with a ‘Healthy’ classification. The company obtained a Final Rating of idAA-/Stable and a Standalone Rating of idA+(sa) from PEFINDO. In terms of governance, the adoption rate of the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) principles is projected to increase to 87.54% in 2025, up from 81.01% in 2024. This increase reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening good governance practices of international standards. In the social and environmental fields, INALUM realised various Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) programmes, including scholarships for 145 beneficiaries, training for 110 teachers, planting 15,000 mangrove trees, construction of solar power plants (PLTS) in three locations, and the distribution of financing for micro and small business operators. The RUPST also approved changes to the company’s management composition. The position of President Director is now held by Melati Sarnita, accompanied by a new board of directors and commissioners expected to continue the company’s growth momentum. With an increasingly strong performance foundation, INALUM is optimistic it can continue to strengthen national aluminium downstreaming, enhance the competitiveness of the domestic industry, and provide sustainable contributions to the national economy and all stakeholders.
