INACA Strengthens National Aviation System Transformation through IAS 2026
On the other hand, this theme also highlights the importance of balancing industrial growth with social and economic impacts.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian National Air Carriers Association (INACA) is organising the Indonesia Aero Summit (IAS) 2026 in Jakarta to accelerate the transformation of the aviation industry towards a sustainable and globally competitive ecosystem.
“In the midst of the dynamics of the national aviation industry, INACA, as the Indonesian National Air Carriers Association, in collaboration with INNOWINN International, will once again hold the Indonesia Aero Summit 2026,” said INACA Chairman Denon Prawiraatmadja in his statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.
He explained that IAS 2026, which will take place over two days on 8-9 July 2026 in Jakarta, will feature the major theme of Sustainable Aviation Ecosystem, representing a grand vision aimed at building a national aviation system that is integrated, resilient, and comprehensively sustainable.
Denon stated that the theme emphasises that aviation industry sustainability is not limited to reducing carbon emissions but also encompasses transformation across the entire aviation value chain, from policy, operations, technology, to cross-sector collaboration.
This includes the development of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and carbon trading, the modernisation of airport infrastructure, the efficiency of air traffic management, and the utilisation of digital technology to improve operational performance.
“On the other hand, this theme also highlights the importance of balancing industrial growth with social and economic impacts,” said Denon.
He emphasised that sustainable aviation must be able to enhance national connectivity, drive regional economic growth, and continue to consider the welfare of the workforce and surrounding communities.
Denon further stated that this is very important, considering that 2026 is expected to be a turning point to further enhance the national aviation industry, thereby helping the government’s target of growing the national economy by 8 percent in 2029.
“At the same time, it will position the national aviation industry to be more competitive at the international level,” he added.
The international forum will be held over two days on 8-9 July 2026 in Jakarta and is the third edition following successful events in 2024 and 2025.
