The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Indonesia Investment Authority (INA), Oki Ramadhana, stated that the institution he leads has no plans to issue debt securities. He noted that there have been no directives from President Prabowo Subianto to follow the steps taken by Danantara, which has already issued bonds to raise investment funds.

“There are none; we will see what the future requirements are. Capital is still enough; we are investing,” he said during a media briefing in Jakarta on Wednesday, 1 July 2026.

Oki mentioned that there are several investment plans already in place for this year across sectors that are focus areas for INA. These sectors include transport, logistics, infrastructure, digital, green energy, blue economy, healthcare, and advanced materials.

However, Oki was unable to disclose the specific forms or values of investments within INA’s focus sectors. Discussions are still ongoing with investors prior to finalisation.

“There are many listed companies involved, so when they invest, it must be disclosed. Therefore, we must maintain confidentiality,” he added.

In contrast, Danantara has issued Patriot Bonds and global bonds. Their bonds—the Patriot Bond and Merah Putih Bond—are also provided with legal protection through Law Number 4 of 2026 regarding the Amendment to Law Number 4 of 2023 on the Development and Strengthening of the Financial Sector (UU P2SK).

As a Sovereign Wealth Fund, similar to Danantara, INA has deployed investments totalling Rp 74.5 trillion, or approximately US$ 4.7 billion, since its establishment in 2020. This figure is an accumulation of Rp 33.3 trillion in investments from INA and Rp 41.32 trillion in foreign direct investment. Meanwhile, its recorded Assets Under Management (AUM) are valued at Rp 146.2 trillion.
