In the spotlight with a celebrity neighbor

This fasting month is different for Cikeas residents in Bogor, West Java. For this year, observance of Ramadhan in Cikeas, home to new President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, is being done with full media coverage.

The small suburb near Bogor has suddenly become a household word, just like the other places -- Cendana, Ciganjur, Kebagusan -- where former leaders live.

Reality may bite very soon, however, and local residents will no doubt find it hard to share a breaking of the fast meal or pray with their "neighbor" and his family. Still, this Ramadhan, in particular, is one to remember. -- Text and photos by P.J. Leo
