Jakarta (ANTARA) - Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf has formed a special team to delve into the goods and services procurement issues at the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) following information that has sparked controversy on social media.
“Today we are creating a special team to examine the procurement issues, which we know have been reported in various news and on social media,” said Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf in Jakarta on Thursday.
The ministry has appointed Deputy Social Minister (Wamensos) Agus Jabo Priyono and the Inspector General of Kemensos to lead the special team.
The formation of this special team, he said, aims to enable the public to gain a more complete picture of the issues that have become controversial on social media.
“So that we can more clearly obtain a more complete picture of the issues that have been circulating on social media. Because news can sometimes be entirely true, sometimes half true,” said Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf.
“We, along with Mr Deputy Minister and Mr Secretary General, will pay a courtesy visit to the KPK to seek advice and input. At the same time, we will provide information about the procurement processes within the Ministry of Social Affairs,” said Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf.
One of the pieces of information to be conveyed to the KPK, he continued, concerns the procurement of goods for the People’s School programme.
