“Peace is not merely the absence of war. It is a virtue,” wrote the philosopher Baruch Spinoza.

Circle K Indonesia has reaffirmed its commitment to society through the ‘School of Happiness’ corporate social responsibility programme, which forms part of the value-based Cirkular initiative. The programme was implemented in partnership with the social platform Benih Baik, founded by senior journalist Andy F Noya.

‘School of Happiness’ focuses on the renovation and revitalisation of four public schools in Bali, comprising three primary schools and one kindergarten. The initiative aims to create a safe, comfortable, and conducive learning environment for children as a crucial foundation in their education process.

The renovations encompass repairs to school infrastructure, enhancements to learning facilities such as computer laboratories, and updates to general amenities like toilets. Additionally, the beneficiary schools received support in the form of learning equipment procurement as part of a comprehensive revitalisation effort.

As part of the programme series, an inauguration ceremony was held at SDN 4 Candikuning. The event was attended by Circle K Indonesia’s executive team, Andy F Noya along with Benih Baik representatives, and warmly welcomed by the school principal and students through a series of greeting activities.

On that occasion, Wirawan Herdyanto, Brand Communications Manager of Circle K Indonesia, stated, “Through the School of Happiness programme, we want to deliver more than just physical renovations. We aim to create learning spaces that are safe, comfortable, and capable of nurturing the enthusiasm and dreams of Indonesian children. This is part of Circle K Indonesia’s commitment to growing alongside community members and delivering tangible and sustainable impact.”

As a brand with a strong presence in Bali, Circle K Indonesia recognises the importance of contributing directly to the local community, particularly in the education sector. Circle K believes that children, as the nation’s future generation, require adequate facilities to pursue their aspirations.

The programme also aligns with one of Cirkular’s main pillars, which is to promote equitable access to quality education.

What makes this programme even more meaningful is its funding source, derived from customer change donations at Circle K outlets. Through these small, collective contributions, customers play a role in bringing about real change for the future of Indonesian children.

The collaboration with Benih Baik ensures that the programme is executed transparently, on target, and delivers sustainable impact for the community. With a spirit of collaboration and care, Circle K Indonesia hopes this initiative can continue to develop and reach more schools in the future.
