In Just Two Months, BSI (BRIS) Disburses Rp1.65 Trillion in KUR
PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (BRIS) has recorded Sharia KUR financing disbursements of Rp1.65 trillion up to February 2026. This amount equates to 11.1% of the total quota for this year, reaching more than 11,000 business actors throughout Indonesia.
The financing disbursements are focused on productive sectors, particularly halal food and beverages, services, and trade. Of the total Sharia KUR financing disbursed, 65% is allocated to the production sector and 35% to the non-production sector in accordance with the government’s mandate. This composition reflects BSI’s strategy in promoting value-added and sustainable economic activities.
BSI Retail Banking Director Kemas Erwan Husainy emphasised that the company continues to prioritise prudent principles in financing expansion.
“Financing disbursements are carried out selectively, taking into account macroeconomic analysis and financing quality trends, to ensure the portfolio remains healthy and sustainable,” he stated in his remarks.
In line with this, BSI is optimistic that MSME growth will remain solid throughout 2026, supported by various government stimuli and policies.
“We see the MSME ecosystem continuing to strengthen, driven by programmes such as Sharia KUR, MBG ecosystem development through SPPG provision, as well as micro and SME financing. In addition, the positive trend in the halal sector at the beginning of the year also serves as a strong signal for future growth,” added Kemas.
Positive performance in the MSME segment further strengthens BSI’s overall performance. As of February 2026, the company’s total financing reached Rp323 trillion, or a 14.32% year-on-year (YoY) growth, with significant contributions from the consumer segment, particularly the gold business. Meanwhile, retail financing including MSMEs was recorded at Rp52.43 trillion, or a 6.10% YoY growth.
BSI also continues to strengthen the MSME support ecosystem through various strategic initiatives, ranging from business mentoring, training, business matching, to the provision of BSI UMKM Center services, as well as halal certification mentoring for assisted MSMEs. These efforts aim to elevate MSMEs and enhance their competitiveness in both domestic and global markets.
Looking ahead, BSI will continue to strengthen support for the government’s Asta Cita programme, particularly in driving national economic growth through retail segment financing. Optimising the intermediation function between third-party funds and financing is key to maintaining solid and sustainable performance.
