In its Electrification Mission, Toyota Sells Veloz Hybrid EV at a Special Price

BANDUNG, KOMPAS.com - PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) has officially begun selling the New Veloz Hybrid EV. This move is a significant step for Toyota in expanding its electric vehicle (xEV) ecosystem in Indonesia, while also providing more affordable and environmentally friendly mobility solutions for Indonesian families. This Low Multi Purpose Vehicle (LMPV) is priced starting from IDR 308 million. However, at the “Hybrid EV for All” event in Bandung, a special launch price of IDR 303 million was offered. The company aims to expand the selection of Hybrid EVs so that environmentally friendly mobility can be accessed by everyone, in more places, to create a better life.

Engine Specifications

Under the hood, the New Veloz Hybrid EV relies on a 1,500 cc engine with the code 2NR-VEX. This hybrid system is designed to provide a powerful yet quiet driving experience, with seamless energy transfer between the petrol engine and the electric motor. On paper, this powertrain combination is capable of producing a maximum power of 111 PS. This power comes from a 91 PS petrol engine at 5,500 rpm, plus an 80 PS power supply from its electric motor. This hybrid MPV can also produce better fuel efficiency, creating smoother and more responsive performance, as well as long-term reliability.
