In-Depth Look at Content Production Methods at KLH's 'The Classroom'

The presence of a public relations division in an organisation such as a ministry or agency plays a vital role, especially as government ministries and agencies often find themselves in the public spotlight. Therefore, the presence of public relations is essential to ensure that necessary information is well received by the public. If information is not conveyed properly, it could potentially have a negative effect on the organisation. To address this, the Ministry of Environment/Environmental Control Agency (KLH/BPLH) together with detikcom will hold a training event titled ‘The Classroom KLH’ on 17-19 June 2026 at Wisma PGN Diklat Megamendung in Bogor, West Java. The event is designed to enhance public communication skills through a series of educational sessions guided by experts from detikcom. The Classroom KLH will feature speakers including detikcom Editor-in-Chief Ardhi Suryadhi, Head of Brand Communication detikcom Karel Anderson, and Head of Brandstudio detikcom Okta Marfianto. Ardhi Suryadhi will provide extensive material on basic reporting, covering rapid research, effective interviews, and recognising various types of news. This material is specifically presented to encourage participants to better understand how to manage information according to public needs. The training sessions do not stop there. Karel Anderson will share knowledge on social media management, thoroughly exploring how to create documentary content, from storylines and pacing to subtitles, simple graphics, and format adaptation for social media. Finally, the training session will be filled by Okta Marfianto, who will share knowledge and experience on how to create cinematic videos. Participants will also be taught techniques for capturing digital content images using smartphone cameras, framing, shot lists, and audio-visual creation. The excitement of the event extends beyond the training sessions, as The Classroom KLH also features sharing sessions, interactive games, and practical sessions.
