In Demand! AI Job Openings on LinkedIn with Salaries Reaching Rp2.5 Million per Hour

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) is not only transforming the way technology works but also opening up new job opportunities that previously did not exist. This trend is now evolving rapidly alongside the increasing needs of companies to train AI systems to become more sophisticated and accurate. Amid this booming industry, LinkedIn is quietly taking steps. The professional networking platform is reportedly in the early stages of developing a new business model that could potentially change the future digital job landscape. LinkedIn has confirmed it is developing an “AI labour marketplace”, a platform that allows individuals to get paid for training artificial intelligence systems. In this scheme, workers can earn up to US$150 per hour, equivalent to around Rp2.55 million. “AI training jobs are currently one of the fastest-growing job categories in the United States,” said a LinkedIn spokesperson, as quoted from Business Insider on Tuesday, 14 April 2026. These jobs involve human roles in improving the quality of chatbots or AI systems. Workers are tasked with evaluating AI responses, testing the limits of system capabilities, and helping to refine results to make them more accurate and relevant. LinkedIn has even opened more than a dozen public job vacancies for these positions. Some of them offer quite high pay depending on expertise. For example, someone with expertise in Excel and finance can earn up to US$100 per hour, or around Rp1.7 million. The nursing profession is also offered with a similar pay range. Meanwhile, the highest-paying position, namely AI trainer for senior software engineers, reaches US$150 per hour, equivalent to Rp2.55 million. In addition, other roles are available such as experts in Germanic and Nordic languages with pay up to US$100 per hour, as well as “red teaming” jobs that test AI system security with pay around US$40 to US$50 per hour, or approximately Rp680,000 to Rp850,000. To facilitate access, LinkedIn has also launched a notification feature that alerts users when there are AI training job opportunities that match their skills.
