In Addition to Silmy Karim, the KPK Names Seven Others as Suspects in Extortion Case!

In addition to Silmy Karim, the KPK has named seven other individuals as suspects in this case.

The KPK has designated eight individuals as suspects out of a total of 18 people who were apprehended, as stated by KPK spokesperson, Budi Prasetyo, to reporters on Thursday, June 4, 2026.

Budi explained that the eight suspects were immediately detained for the first 20 days.

The suspects are charged under Article 12, paragraph e, regarding extortion, and Article 12 B in conjunction with Article 18 regarding gratification, of Law Number 31 of 1999, as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 (the Anti-Corruption Law).

Here is the list of the eight individuals detained by the KPK:

1. Deputy Minister of Immigration and Penitentiary 2025-2026 and Director General of Immigration and Penitentiary 2023-2024, Silmy Karim (SK)

2. Acting Director General of Immigration 2024-2025, Saffar Muhammad Godam (SMG)

3. Director of Residence Permits and Immigration Status, Directorate General of Immigration, Jaya Saputra (JS)

4. Head of the Sub-Directorate for Residence Permit Transfers, Directorate of Residence Permits and Immigration Status, Directorate General of Immigration, Tessar Bayu Setyaji (TBS)

5. Head of Sub-Directorate at the Directorate of Residence Permits, Bagus Bramantyo (BGS)

6. Head of the Immigration Office of Central Jakarta 2024-2025 and Head of the Class I Special Non-TPI Immigration Office of West Jakarta 2025-2026, Ronald Arman Abdullah (RAA)

7. Head of the ITAS Transfer Team, Juniadi Sri Priambudi (JSP)

8. Staff of the Sub-Directorate of Residence Permits, Gusti Benardiansyah (GST).
