LazisMu, in synergy with Paragon Corp, has distributed aid to flood-affected communities in Aceh Province through the ‘Kado Ramadhan’ programme. A total of 150 aid parcels were distributed to residents in Pidie Jaya Regency and Muara Batu District on Saturday, 7 March 2026.

A representative of the LazisMu Central Distribution and Utilisation Team, Rizky Saragih, said the aid consisted of basic staple packages to help meet residents’ needs during Ramadan.

“Alhamdulillah, with the support of Paragon Corp we were able to distribute 150 Kado Ramadhan packages. Each package contains staple items such as rice, cooking oil, eggs, granulated sugar, and sardines,” Rizky said, quoted in a written statement on Saturday, 7 March 2026.

This programme forms part of Paragon Corp’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) implementation, with the distribution entrusted to LazisMu. The aid is intended to assist residents who are still in the recovery phase after the floods swept through the area.

Distribution was carried out in coordination with Muhammadiyah networks in the region. In Pidie Jaya, distribution was centred at Musholla At-Taqwa and coordinated by Makmur, the Chairman of the Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership Council of Pidie Jaya. In Muara Batu, the distribution was conducted by the LazisMu Aceh Utara team.

Ahmad Imam Mujadid Rais, Chairman of LazisMu Central, emphasised that Muhammadiyah is committed to continuously accompanying disaster-affected communities, not only during the emergency response phase but also through rehabilitation.

“Muhammadiyah is always committed to following up on every disaster in a sustainable manner with the principle of arriving earliest and leaving last,” said Rais.

He cited the 2022 Cianjur earthquake as an example, where Muhammadiyah continued to accompany communities, including through building health facilities for affected residents.

Rais also expressed appreciation for the resilience of Acehnese people who continued to observe fasting during the recovery process after the flood.

“We hope this Kado Ramadhan can somewhat ease the burden on residents, provide real benefits, and serve as encouragement for the community to keep rising,” he said.

The aid was warmly received by flood survivors in Pidie Jaya and Muara Batu. Residents expressed gratitude for assistance deemed to significantly help with sahur and iftar needs during the Ramadan month.
