Imsak Schedule for Today, 25th February 2026, in Mataram City and Surrounding Areas
Eating Sahur is one of the highly recommended Sunnah practices for Muslims when performing the Ramadan fast. This practice is not only about fulfilling physical needs before fasting but also has a strong basis in Islamic teachings.
The Prophet Muhammad SAW even affirmed the blessings and virtues of performing Sahur, so Muslims are encouraged not to neglect it as part of perfecting their fast.
تَسَخَّرُوا فَإِنَّ فِي السَّحُورِ بَرَكَةً
Meaning: “Eat Sahur, for there is indeed a blessing in Sahur.” (HR. Bukhari, Shahih)
Sahur plays an important role in supporting physical condition while performing the fast. Consuming food and drinks before dawn can help the body obtain the energy reserves it needs. The practice of Sahur is carried out in the early morning and must be completed before the time of Subuh (dawn prayer), which is marked by the sound of the Adhan.
Muslims are encouraged not to exceed this time limit so that the fast can be carried out properly and optimally.
