Imsak Schedule for Kupang City and the NTT Region Today, 25th February 2026
Eating sahur is a sunnah (recommended practice) for Muslims who are fasting. As stated on the website of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion, the sunnah of sahur is reflected in the hadith narrated by Anas bin Malik, in which the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Eat sahur, for there is indeed barakah (blessing) in sahur.” (Muttafaqun ’alaih). In addition, sahur is important to ensure that the body has enough energy to carry out the fasting worship for a whole day without eating and drinking. Sahur is done in the morning before sunrise, and it ends with the call to prayer for Imsak and Subuh (dawn prayer). For this reason, Muslims are encouraged to eat sahur on time, by paying attention to the Imsak and Subuh schedules in their respective areas.
