IMREI Strengthens Collaboration with AREA Indonesia to Boost Property Industry Competitiveness
The Indonesian Real Estate Managers Association (IMREI) has affirmed its commitment to advancing the national property industry through active participation in the National Conference of the Indonesian Real Estate Agents Association (AREA Indonesia). This presence marks a synergy between professional associations to strengthen a property ecosystem that is increasingly professional, competitive, and sustainable.
IMREI Chairman Dance Aquarianto stated that IMREI, as a professional organisation for practitioners in property and building management, views professional management as a strategic link in the real estate industry cycle. Professional management is considered capable of maintaining asset quality, increasing investment value, supporting occupant satisfaction, improving building operational efficiency, and ensuring long-term investment sustainability.
Dance Aquarianto conveyed IMREI’s full support for various AREA Indonesia programmes focused on enhancing human resource competency, strengthening professional ethics, and fostering cross-sector collaboration. He noted that synergy between property agents, developers, building managers, the government, financing institutions, and other stakeholders is a crucial foundation for building a healthy property industry capable of adapting to economic challenges and technological developments.
‘AREA Indonesia, as a professional organisation for property agents, has a strategic role in strengthening professional property marketing and transactions. The collaboration between AREA Indonesia and IMREI is believed to be able to present a more integrated business ecosystem, from the marketing process, transactions, and property management, to increasing asset value,’ Dance said in an official statement in Jakarta, Tuesday (28/7/2026).
He added that IMREI is currently focusing on developing superior and competitive human resources in the property sector. This step is expected to make IMREI a strategic partner for developers, the government, and the public in improving the quality of property asset management in Indonesia.
Dance also revealed that IMREI has established cooperation with various organisations in the property sector, including KADIN, REI, APPBI, and PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (Persero) or BKI. According to him, this collaboration will continue to be expanded to strengthen the national property industry ecosystem.
He assessed that the rapid development of residential areas, office buildings, apartments, shopping centres, and industrial estates requires competent human resources, not only in property management but also in other supporting professions, including property agents. ‘Through competency improvement and strong collaboration, all professions in the property sector can provide added value to the industry while increasing public and investor trust,’ asserted Dance, who also serves as Director of Premium Property Management.
Meanwhile, AREA Indonesia President Indra Utama emphasised that AREA Indonesia was established not to compete with existing organisations in the property industry, but as a platform to unite all elements of the property ecosystem to grow together.
‘AREA Indonesia was not formed to rival developer organisations, property agent associations, the building materials industry, banking, property management, appraisers, consultants, or other professional organisations. We are here to unite strengths, build synergy, and become a collaborative bridge for the entire Indonesian property ecosystem to provide greater benefits for society and the nation,’ said Indra on the sidelines of the National Conference held at World Capital Tower, Jakarta.
According to Indra, the challenge of providing decent, quality, and affordable housing cannot be solved by a single organisation or sector alone. Therefore, collaboration between the government, developers, property agents, property managers, financing institutions, academics, the media, professional associations, and the public is needed to achieve the national housing development targets sustainably.
