The Trans Luxury Hotel Surabaya has introduced a rooftop beach club complete with an artificial beach, an infinity pool, and panoramic views of the ‘City of Heroes’ from a great height.
Located on the 28th floor, the facility, named 28th Sky Beach Club, serves as a major attraction for the five-star hotel, which is integrated with Trans Icon Surabaya. The beach club is claimed to be the highest of its kind in Indonesia.

Sri Wulandari, the Spa and Wellness Manager at The Trans Luxury Hotel Surabaya, stated that the artificial beach concept on a rooftop provides a different experience compared to other hotels. “Usually, beach pools are located on the first floor or ground level and are connected to an actual beach. But here, we present an artificial beach with a nearly 180-degree view of Surabaya,” she said.
The beach atmosphere is enhanced by the use of white sand imported directly from Australia. Visitors can also enjoy an infinity pool and a water slide suitable for both children and adults, subject to certain weight limits.
Unsurprisingly, the area has become a favourite for families choosing a staycation at the hotel. From the rooftop, guests can enjoy panoramas of Surabaya from various angles, including sunrise and sunset moments. The pool is accessible until 8:00 PM WIB,” she added.

Nadia mentioned that she learned about the hotel through television and social media advertisements. In addition to opening promotions, the presence of the beach pool was her primary reason for choosing to stay. “The children love the sea and sand, so when they heard about this beach pool, they were delighted. The vibes are perfect—it feels like the sea, but we are atop a building,” she said.
