Samsung has officially introduced its latest flagship line, the Galaxy S26 Ultra. This year, Samsung is bringing a very specific and innovative security feature, the first of its kind in the world: a built-in anti-peep screen feature called Privacy Display.

This feature is designed specifically to protect user privacy in public spaces, such as public transport or cafes. With this technology, the phone’s screen can no longer be viewed by people around it without the need for additional accessories.

“The Privacy Display feature makes the S26 Ultra the world’s first smartphone to have this feature,” said MX Product Marketing Senior Manager of Samsung Electronics Indonesia, Ilham Indrawan, during a product presentation in South Jakarta, Thursday (February 26).

When this feature is active, the Galaxy S26 Ultra screen will remain clear when viewed directly from the front. However, the screen display will appear blurry or dark when viewed from an angle on the left, right, top, or bottom.

Its use is also very practical. This feature can be accessed directly through the Control Center panel with just one swipe down. Interestingly, this feature is very flexible.

The secret behind this technology lies in the screen’s pixel structure, which has two layers: narrow pixels and wide pixels. When the feature is inactive, both pixels work together. However, when Privacy Display is activated, the screen will only run wide pixels, while the narrow pixels are turned off to limit the viewing angle.

Not only in terms of security, the Galaxy S26 Ultra also brings significant performance improvements. This phone is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset from Qualcomm. This processor promises 19% higher CPU performance compared to the previous generation.

The memory sector also comes in several options.

In the photography sector, Samsung continues to maintain the 200 MP main sensor, but with an improvement in the aperture, which is now wider at f/1.4. This allows the camera to capture light more efficiently in dark conditions. This main camera is accompanied by a 10 MP telephoto lens and a 50 MP ultrawide lens.

For power, the 5000 mAh battery is now supported by improved fast charging at 60W (up from 45W in the previous generation), as well as 25W wireless charging.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is rumored to support 60W charging, while the S26 and S26+ are said to support 25W and 45W charging, respectively.
