Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded a surge in Indonesia’s import performance in June 2026, with the value reaching US$25.91 billion, up 34.27% compared to the same period last year.

“In June 2026, the total import value was US$25.91 billion, up 34.27% year-on-year,” said Ateng Hartono, Deputy for Distribution and Services Statistics at BPS, during a press conference on Monday (3/8/2026).

The majority of that import value came from non-oil and gas commodities, at US$21.35 billion, an increase of 25.05%.

Meanwhile, the highest increase in import value came from oil and gas commodities, which reached US$4.56 billion, rising as much as 105.15% from the figure recorded in June 2025.

By category of use, the goods most imported into Indonesia in June 2026 were raw and auxiliary materials, valued at US$18.56 billion, an increase of 38.94%.

Next were capital goods, with a value of US$5.25 billion. The value of capital goods imports rose 26.53% compared to June 2025.

Lastly, consumption goods saw a total import value of 2.11% in June 2026. This import value also rose by 17.46% compared to the same period last year.

“In June 2026, all imports by category of use increased on an annual basis,” said Ateng.
