Importa Sells One Million Steel Wardrobes in Five Years, Secures MURI Record
PT Importa Jaya Abadi (Importa) has received an award from the Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI) for achieving sales of one million steel wardrobes in Indonesia within a five-year period. CEO Importa Nizar Bawazier stated that this sales achievement is not merely a figure, but a reflection of customer trust in the company’s products. “The achievement of more than one million steel wardrobe units in five years is not just about sales numbers, but is a reflection of customer trust and the hard work of the entire Importa ecosystem,” he said in Jakarta on Saturday (27/6/2026). Nizar added that the exponential sales prove that Importa’s steel wardrobe products offer various advantages, such as being more durable, anti-fungal, anti-termite, and most importantly, more affordable. With these advantages, Nizar is optimistic that Importa’s products can penetrate the international market. “We want to not only be present domestically, but also to bring the Indonesian name to the international market,” he said. In addition to developing furniture products made of steel across all existing lines, Nizar said that going forward, Importa will continue to strengthen its business through the development of distribution networks, improvement of customer service, and sustainable business expansion. Concurrently with the MURI record award, Importa also launched a new tagline, ‘Furniture Besi Nomor 1 di Indonesia’ (Number 1 Steel Furniture in Indonesia), which is claimed to reflect the strengthening of the company’s position in the national steel furniture market. According to Nizar, the launch of the new tagline is part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its brand identity. “This new tagline further reinforces Importa’s position as a player in the Indonesian steel furniture industry,” he said. PT Importa Jaya Abadi is a business unit of PT Nata Corpora Investama (N Corp) engaged in the distribution of steel-based home, office, and public space furniture. Established in 2011, the company now has 28 distribution branches across various regions in Indonesia. In addition to the MURI record, the company also stated it has won the Top Brand award in 2024 and 2025 for the steel furniture category, Superbrands 2024 for the furniture category, and the TVOne Innovation for the Nation 2025 award for the Product Transformation Innovation category. Importa offers a range of steel furniture products, including steel wardrobes, ergonomic work desks, and storage cabinets.
