Importa Sells One Million Steel Wardrobes in Five Years, Secures MURI Record
PT Importa Jaya Abadi (Importa) has received an award from the Museum Rekor Dunia Indonesia (MURI) for achieving the sale of one million steel wardrobes in Indonesia over a five-year period.
Importa CEO Nizar Bawazier stated that this sales achievement is more than just a number; it is a reflection of customer trust in the company’s products. “Achieving more than one million units of steel wardrobes in five years is not just about sales figures, but is a reflection of customer confidence and the hard work of the entire Importa ecosystem,” he said in Jakarta on Saturday (27/06/2026).
Nizar added that this exponential sales growth proves that the steel wardrobe products offered by Importa possess numerous advantages, such as being more durable, anti-mould, anti-termite, and, of course, more affordable. Furthermore, Nizar is optimistic that with these advantages, Importa’s products are capable of penetrating the international market.
“We want to be present not only domestically but also to bring the name of Indonesia to the international market,” he said.
In addition to developing steel-based furniture products across all existing lines, Nizar noted that moving forward, Importa will continue to strengthen its business through the development of distribution networks, improvement of customer service, and sustainable business expansion.
Alongside receiving the MURI record, Importa also launched its new tagline, ‘Number 1 Steel Furniture in Indonesia’, which is claimed to reflect the strengthening of the company’s position in the national steel furniture market. According to Nizar, the launch of the new tagline is part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its brand identity. “This new tagline further reinforces Importa’s position as a player in the Indonesian steel furniture industry,” he remarked.
PT Importa Jaya Abadi is a business unit of PT Nata Corpora Investama (N Corp) that operates in the distribution of home, office, and public space furniture made from steel. Founded in 2011, the company already operates 28 distribution branches across various regions in Indonesia.
In addition to the MURI record, the company also noted that it has received the Top Brand award in 2024 and 2025 for the steel furniture category, Superbrands 2024 in the furniture category, as well as the TVOne Innovation for Building the Nation 2025 award for the Innovation for Product Transformation category. Importa offers a range of steel furniture products, including steel wardrobes, ergonomic workstations, and storage cabinets.
