The government has issued policies to mitigate risks and anticipate global dynamics. These include the implementation of Work From Home (WFH) and cuts to official travel, which are expected to save the state budget. β€œThe potential savings to the APBN amount to Rp6.2 trillion in the form of fuel compensation savings, while the total fuel expenditure for the public is saved at Rp59 trillion,” stated Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto during a press conference on Tuesday (31/3/2026). The implementation of WFH for central and regional civil servants is set at once a week, specifically on Fridays. Meanwhile, for the private sector, it will be further regulated by the Ministry of Manpower. Budget efficiency for official travel includes a 50% reduction for domestic trips and 70% for overseas ones. Official vehicle mobility is cut by 50%, and the use of public transportation is encouraged.
