Implementing Culture of Innovation and Sustainability, Adaro Wins PROPER Gold

PT Adaro Indonesia has once again received the Gold rating in the 2025 Programme for Assessing Company Performance (PROPER) from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), marking the seventh consecutive year since 2019. The PROPER award serves as recognition for the company’s commitment to sustainable environmental management. It is granted based on several parameters and represents a public disclosure programme for environmental performance assessment. President Director of PT Adaro Indonesia, Priyadi, explained that sustainability is a core business strategy implemented through various innovations. Adaro also continues to apply operational excellence integrated with environmental and social programmes. “For us, sustainability is an integral part of the company’s business and operational strategy. Our responsible and sustainable mining approach is translated into governance, operational excellence, sustainable innovation, and responsible relationships with employees, the environment, and the community,” Priyadi stated during the PROPER Environmental Awards at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), Jakarta, on Tuesday (7/4/2026). In addition to innovation, he revealed that Adaro Indonesia also implements a sustainability culture, where each individual understands their duties and responsibilities in identifying potential hazards to manage those risks. “We cultivate this so that everyone is aware of the sustainability culture, enabling us to maintain the PROPER Gold rating. My hope for the future is that we can continue to uphold this,” he emphasised.
