The Lamongan Regency Government in East Java is strengthening the consistency of performance amid global dynamics and changes in governance structures. It is hoped that work systems such as the implementation of work from home (WFH) will serve as a step towards efficient working hours without reducing productivity. The regency government held a Leaders Brief with all Regional Work Units (OPD) and sub-district heads virtually, led by Regent Yuhronur Efendi, in the Command Centre Room on the 3rd floor of the Regency Government Building on Wednesday (8/4). This activity serves as a forum for aligning perceptions among all levels of regional apparatus in facing changes in work patterns and development challenges. It also follows up on previous coordination meetings discussing preparedness for the dry season. The Regent, affectionately known as Pak Yes, emphasised that transforming work culture is key to maintaining government performance. According to him, changes in work systems such as the implementation of work from home (WFH), work from office (WFO), and adjustments to working hours are part of efficiency measures that must not reduce productivity. “Changes in work patterns must be balanced with improved performance. Efficiency, including a reduction in energy use such as fuel and electricity by 20–25 percent, must be realised without lowering the quality of public services,” stated Pak Yes. He reminded that every work programme of the regional apparatus must be oriented towards utility and provide tangible impacts for the community. Additionally, Pak Yes requested the optimisation of social media by OPDs, which is considered important as part of enhancing adaptive public services in line with the times. The Cirebon Regency Government (Pemkab) has begun implementing work from home (WFH) starting this week. WFH is planned to be implemented starting Friday (10/4). This policy is outlined in the Circular Letter of the West Sumatra Governor Number 06 of 2026. The Wonosobo Regency Government is currently still studying the implementation of the Work From Home (WFH) policy for civil servants (ASN). The Penajam Paser Utara Regency Government (PPU) in East Kalimantan reminds civil servants (ASN) not to misunderstand the work-from-home or WFH policy. The Bekasi City Government has adjusted the work-from-home (WFH) policy for civil servants (ASN) to every Friday.
